New Lego set – Capital City 60200

New Lego set coming out later this year. Includes three buildings, city bus, skateboard ramp, two cars, crane and many different mini figures. Great ”Lego city starter set” for younger kids!

First of the buildings is a small scale hotel with two floors. Another house is a museum, designed as a glass box. This is a moveable construction and can be lifted with an included crane vehicle. Finally there is also a neat little brickwork hot-dog stand. Not large but has all the functions and printed signs.

The vehicles are a small electric orange smart car, one blue fast sport car, ice-cream food truck and a bus. It looks like a tourist tour bus made to transport a number of mini figures. All different elements create a playful enviroment.

Rumour was true-the Lego roller coaster 10261

Today Lego has published the roller coaster on the webbshop. You can buy it from the firtst of June. You will receive 4124 pieces in the set and it also comes with 11 minifigures. Grandparents with their grandchild and a lego minifigur that looks like my lego sig fig. Now to the roller coaster, it comes with two carts with three chairs for the minifigures and opening barriers to get to the carts. There is a camera in the roller coaster and a stand where you can buy tickets and your picture. If you convince your parents you might be able to buy some juice and candy-floss after the ride!

New release Y-Wing Starfighter 75181

On May the 4th an Ultimate Collector Series Y-Wing starfighter will be released. The model has an amazing level of details, including an openable minifigure cockpit for the included Gold Leader. Other features are a wheel-activated rotating ion cannons on top, retractable landing skids and a space for the included R2-BHD astromech droid. There are 1967 pieces.

New release – Yoda’s hut 75208

On the New York Toy fair they displayed the new Lego Star Wars 2018 summer sets. One of my favorites was Yoda’s hut. Master trainer Luke returns in a new look. The previous set from 2003, Luke had a clear yellow skin tone. You also get Yoda and a dirty R2-D2. I really like the new R2-D2! It contains 229 parts in different colors. This set looks more like the real hut from Empire Strikes back .

The return of Harry Potter and a new Hogwarts

At the New York Toy Fair the set of Hogwarts Great Hall, 75954, was revealed. The sets contains 878 pieces, with 10 mini figures. Young Harry Potter and his best friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley are of course main characters of the set. There are also Draco Malfoy, Professor Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Professor Quirrell and Hagrid. I enjoyed seeing Nearly Headless Nick. The great hall has been updated compared to the last modell in a nice way. You get a better feeling of how it looks in their dining hall. They have even incorporated the flying candles!

Teaser Lego Technic Ultimate series- Bugatti Chiron

Lego has announced an upcoming modell in the Lego Technic Ultimate series, the Bugatti Chiron, 42083. Lego started out with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS model in 2016. The Bugatti Chiron is designed by the french legodesigner Aurelien Rouffiange. The set contains 3,599 pieces and will be in scale 1:8. It will be available in stores on the 1st of August.

LEGO Star Wars 75205 Mos Eisley Cantina review

The set is divided into three parts, Wuher’s bar, a doorway with sliding door and a booth for Han Solo and Greedo to settle their dispute. You also get a Ubrikkian 9,000 pod. The pod seats one minifigure. It’s a bit disappointing and dosen’t feel as a complete set. The 2014 (75052) release is much more detailed comes with over 615 pieces. The rounded roof gives a distinct authentic look similar to the Star Wars movie New Hope Episode IV. A positiv feature is the updated detailed minifigures, especially Han Solo and the new bartender.

Lego Avengers Infinity War 76108 Battle in the Sanctum Sanctorum

This new set comes packed with a load of features. It’s not launched yet and there is no official picture. But there are some official descriptions on various sites. The house itself look like a new Modular building. The building is foldable and opens up to different places for alternative scenarios. Doctor Strange’s office is on the top floor with bookshelves and a buildable candlestick. Apartment of Peter Parker with various elements, trap door function, an exploding window… The street corner includes a kiosk with newspapers. On the roof  there is a function for launching Minifigures. Of the five Minifigures I’m sure the Iron Spider-Man will be most popular!

My Christmas built BB-8

I have just a few days left of my Christmas holiday in Mexico. Not to finish the built to fast, I’ve restricted myself to build some section every day. Now I’m done! The set looks quite simple but there is some clever engineering on the inside constructed with Lego technic. BB-8 has two main functions, one wheel spins the head and the second wheel pulls out the torch. Next step for Lego is to created a larger version of this modell with more remote controlled functionality.

New favourite set 75200

My favourite of the new Star Wars sets is 75200. Ahch – To – Island training. If you have seen The Last Jedi you will instantly recognise this set. You get the Mini Figures of Ray, Luke Skywalker and a cute Porge. The hut where Luke stays looks simple but has the most important survival features. A small stove for cooking with some food, a little table and a foldable bed.
